The Texproil PCS-5 retrievable packer is a hydraulic set packer for extreme condicions; it was designed to operate in hard environments with a lot of solid in suspension or heavy mud, for injector and production wells.
If it is used in selective injection, it can be combined with the Tandem Model “C-5” hydraulic set ones. The most striking feature of this packer is the release with minimal turnaround maneuvers. Thanks to its small size is the best choice for wells with selective facilities in which the number of elements is high, short distances between sands or also for deviated wells.
Due to its lock system and slip type, once it is set in position, it can be left with weight, tension or in neutral position. Pressure or temperature changes do not affect its position and packing. It has smaller external diameters and as a result of a locking system, this tool can only be set by pressure.
